Tournament Chairs Sharron Sue and Ron Tanaka announced, "We thank our golfers, as well as our generous major supporters who donated prizes and contributed to the overall success of the event: Monterey Hilton Garden Inn, Corica Park, Berkeley Bowl, Moraga Garden Center, Lee's Florist and Nursery, Tokyo Fish Market, Russell Takei, DDS, Todd Fujinaga, Derrek Tomine and Ronald Wake, DDS." The charity golf tournament raised funds and donated $1,000 each to the Campaign to Save Painted Rock, The Mineta Legacy Project and Eth-Noh-Tec.
The Moraga Asian American Club began more than 20 years ago to promote civic involvement, inclusion and respect for differences in celebration of Lamorinda's diversity. Since its inception, the golf tournament has been raising money to support these goals, but after a tremendous run of 18 years, the tournament will sunset.
