Tennis Club a total loss in Lafayette fire

A five-acre grass fire in Lafayette Oct. 27 forced the evacuation of hundreds of residents near Springhill and Pleasant Hill Road.

According to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, the Lafayette Tennis Club was a total loss, one building was damaged and one home received roof damage. No one was injured.
