Present and former members of the Campolindo Leo Club presented gifts and sang Christmas Carols Dec. 20 to the residents of Moraga Post-Acute nursing home. This is the 20th year that the Campolindo Leo Club has visited the nursing home.
The Moraga Lions and Campolindo Leo Club also conducted several events during 2019 to promote awareness of the increasing threat of diabetes, one of the causes of blindness. Both clubs sponsored a booth at the Moraga Community Faire in May to encourage visitors to eat smart and do more exercise. A raffle gave away two one-month memberships donated by 24 Hour Fitness. In addition, the Leo Club conducted fundraisers that resulted in the purchase of a salad bar, which was place in the high school cafeteria. The Moraga Lions Club and California Lions Foundation contributed to the purchase.
