'Journey of Peace' poster contest winners

Each year the Lamorinda Lions Club joins 49,000 Lions clubs around the world in sponsoring a Peace Poster Contest. The contest encourages young people, ages 11 to 13, worldwide to artistically express their vision of peace. This year the theme was "Journey of Peace," and the Lamorinda area had over 230 entries submitted. The winners at each school are:
Stanley Intermediate
1st Madison Rumberg
2nd Adriana Smith
3rd Katelyn Forschies
Joaquin Moraga Intermediate
1st Sitfat Sarang
2nd Gianna Caruso
3rd Luke Hickey
Orinda Intermediate
1st Eliani Kim
2nd AbigailKim
3rd (tie) Isabel Lima/Chelsea Yuen
St. Perpetua
1st Leela Anzenbeger
2nd Marina Castilla Liu
3rd Natalie Aiken
In addition, Eliani Kim (OIS) won first place among all the contestants in Alameda and Contra Costa County and her entry will now compete with other entries in California.
