Moraga Juniors Mark 55 years of service with community campaign and Spring Festival plans
For more than five decades, the Moraga Junior Women’s Club has played a quiet but steady role in supporting the community. Founded in 1970, the organization is marking its 55th anniversary with a fundraising campaign titled “$55 for 55 Years of Service.” Residents are invited to contribute $55 in honor of the milestone.
In addition to its anniversary efforts, the club is preparing for one of Moraga’s longstanding spring traditions. The 43rd Annual Spring Festival (with its famous Easter Egg Hunt) will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on March 21 at Moraga Commons Park. The event will also have bounce houses, photos with the Easter Bunny, games, and arts and crafts.
Proceeds from Spring Fest ticket sales and donations will benefit the Moraga Library, this year’s designated beneficiary. Funds will be used to purchase new interactive learning panels for the children’s area, enhancing educational opportunities for local families.
The community has taken note of the Moraga Juniors’ positive impact. The Moraga Chamber of Commerce named the Moraga Juniors its Non-Profit of the Year, honoring the group’s ongoing service and volunteer efforts throughout the community. The Moraga Juniors are always looking for new members. Open to women of all ages and from all locations, the club offers a range of social and service opportunities, including a book club, walking club, and hands-on community projects.
