CNPA awards Lamorinda Weekly reporter second place for photo

The California News Publishers Association announced on May 23 that Lamorinda Weekly reporter and photographer Sora O'Doherty won second place in the 2021 California Journalism Awards Contest for her Feb. 27, 2021 news photo of a Del Rey Elementary School kindergarten student being given hand sanitizer before entering the classroom on the first day back to school, after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the closure of schools in 2020. Congratulations, Sora!
