Yes, it's time for Hacienda Nights, and that means a variety of food trucks to please any palate.
Families and couples, young and old, came to enjoy the season's inaugural food fest on June 18. Cousins Maine Lobster, Ofie's Kitchen (hotdogs, hamburgers, and fries), Ceviche & Co. (Latin bites), Mama's Shawarma (wraps and kebobs), Bombzies BBQ (Asian fusion), P's Philly's (cheesesteak sandwiches), Kona Ice (shaved ice), and Canyon Club Brewery were the food trucks on hand.
Moraga's Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Coordinator Donald Scully estimated the first event attendance was approximately 300 people.
Two more Hacienda Nights are on tap for this summer. The July 16 food trucks scheduled are: Ofies Kitchen, Golden Gate Gyro (halal street food), Bombzies BBQ, Los Rockeros (Mexico City-style street food), Global Express (Italian menu), Canyon Club Brewery, and Tangelo (frozen yogurt). The Aug. 6 expected food trucks are: Cousins Maine Lobster, Ceviche & Co., P's Philly's, Golden Gate Gyro, Los Rockeros, Rock Club Burger (Latin-flavored burgers), Canyon Club Brewery, and Tangelo. Both events, will also be held at the Hacienda's 2100 Donald Dr. location between 5 and 9 p.m. For more information visit: www.moragarec.com. | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
