| Published September 25th, 2024 | Another successful fun run in Moraga | | Submitted by Amy Campbell | | Photo provided | It was another beautiful day for the annual Kapnek Trust USA Family Fun Run and Carnival held on Sunday, Sept. 8 at Moraga Commons Park. Over 200 runners and carnival participants of all ages came out to support the Trust, a local nonprofit that supports early childhood education, nutrition, and AIDS treatment and prevention programs for underserved children and families in Zimbabwe.
The event includes a 5K run along the Moraga path with a shorter 1K run/walk for the littles. After the run, families participate in a carnival with games, a jumpy house, rock wall, food, music, and arts and crafts all to raise money in support of this worthy cause.
This year, the event had volunteers from the National Charity League, the Orinda chapter of Boys Team Charity, Jennifer Moeller Compass, and staff from Lamorinda Pediatrics who all pitched in to make the day a success.
