Aileen Schier’s artwork will be featured at Orinda Books through the month of September. Schier was born in Oakland and went to Skyline High School before living in Los Angeles and then Orinda. She's been making art of some sort all her life (she's an architect and has done a lot of house and garden design), but has never had an art show. So, she's holding her debut art show at age 69! Her preferred medium is oil painting, and according to her daughter, she “only started doing this in any seriousness in the last handful of years.”
