Saint Mary’s College Rugby player Dominic Peterson, 19, a sophomore from Los Altos Hills, passed away Friday, Sept. 4 after experiencing a medical emergency during a training run with his rugby teammates in Moraga, according to a Gael Rugby social media post, which added, “This is heartbreaking for our community and our deepest sympathies are with his family and loved ones. Dominic’s Smile was contagious and one that would brighten a room when he entered. He always gave 100% effort and encouraged those around him to do the same. Dominic will be in our hearts forever.”
